The finance society manages the budget of the student body of the University of Lüneburg.
All payment transactions of all student initiatives, student bodies, societies, the AStA, the StuPa, and the service companies are checked, ordered, and booked in the finance society by the two accountants and the finance department’s speaker. The finance department is strictly bound to the financial regulations of the student body.
The financial plan of the student body of the University of Lüneburg forms the financial basis for the student organizations.
The finance speaker can represent the AStA speakers in special cases and is also represented by them. They prepare the budget in cooperation with the accountants and the finance committee of the StuPa. Furthermore, supplementary budgets and the annual financial statement are prepared by the department speaker and the accountants.
All budgets, supplementary budgets, and annual financial statements of the student body of the University of Lüneburg must be approved by the StuPa. Subsequently, an audit by the internal audit society of the University takes place with subsequent approval by the Presidential Board.
