Speakers’ collective 2025/2026

Last updated 30. January 2026 | Sprecherinnen

The AStA speaker collective currently consists of four speakers: Marc (he/him), Helene (she/her), Zoë (she/her) and Philipp (he/him).

This is us:

Marc (he/him) is studying economics in his fourth semester. Marc will be responsible for internal committees but will also work with the departments of the AStA. In addition, networking with other student bodies is important to him, which is why he will also be involved at the state and national level.

Helene (she/her) is studying environmental science in her fourth semester and during our term, her responsibilities include networking with the city community as well as the finances of the AStA. It is also important to her to reach younger students and represent their interests.

Zoë (she/her) is also studying environmental sciene in her sixth semester. It is a priority for Zoë that the university is not seen as completely separate from what is happening in the city. Therefore, in addition to PR tasks, Zoë will also be responsible for networking and dialogue with city stakeholders.

Philipp (he/him) is in his third semester of a Master’s degree in Public Affairs and Economics. With the upcoming local elections in September in mind, he is focusing on representing the interests of our student body at local, state and federal levels, among other things. Good cooperation is central to his work.

These are our tasks:

We were elected by the Student Parliament (StuPa) on June 25, 2025 and our task is to represent the student body in its political, social and cultural affairs vis-à-vis the public and the various groups at the university. We regularly hold discussions with various people and groups at the university to find out about the latest developments for you and to advocate for your interests. We do this not only at the university, but also on the city, state, an fedearl level.

We also network with other students’ unions. This takes place at state level in the State Student Conference (LAK) and at federal level in the Free Association of Student Unions (fzs).

Our day-to-day work primarily includes the organization, coordination and administration of the AStA. We are employers of the numerous employees in the AStA and support the departments. Every Tuesday at 14:00 there is therefore an AStA meeting with all the speakers. **These meetings are open to the public and discuss current topics that primarily concern the AStA and its departments or the university in general. These meetings take place in the MuFuZi in building 9 and are open to the public. Interested people are therefore welcome at any time!

Besides, we realize political events and activities – often in cooperation with the societies and student initiatives of the university. We are also mainly responsible for organizing the annual Freshers’ Party and the AStA Summer Festival (the Summer Open Air).

Generally speaking, we are therefore the interface between the student body and all other members of the university. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or problems. Most of the time we can help you directly, otherwise we know who to consult in order to help you.
