Letter from the StuPa on the corona situation at the university
Last updated 5. March 2025 | StuPa
Last Monday, the Student Parliament of the University of Lüneburg sent a letter to the Presidential Board regarding the current situation for students with regard to the corona pandemic and the upcoming examination phase.
The aim of the letter is to highlight the urgent need for action and to appeal to the Executive Board and the university’s teaching staff to implement the recommendations.
In the letter, the student parliament advocates the following points:
- Enabling a dual examination phase, i.e. with the option of an in-person or digital examination
- Free trial regulation for examinations
- Use of the university to extend the standard period of study by a further semester
- Expansion of the software range and training courses
- Expansion of psychological-therapeutic counseling services and greater visibility of these services
As a student parliament, it is important to us to respond to the pandemic not with individual, small-scale plans, but together as a university community and in a sustainable manner.
We hope that our recommendations will be taken to heart and that together we will emerge from this intensified pandemic situation as a strong and united university community.
