Dear students, we hope you have already put together your Halloween costumes and are looking forward to a short university week. Here is the latest news from the AStA:

Studium-Barriere and Archipel
The “ARCHIPEL” department(Autonomous Department for Chronic Illnesses, Handicaps and Inclusion, Mental Illnesses, Empowerment and Learning Disabilities) is unfortunately currently vacant. We are looking for speakers as well as people who simply want to get involved in this topic from time to time. If you are interested, you can contact Fabienne, who can tell you more about it and, if necessary, help with coordination.Fabienne is a counselor at the AStA for students with chronic illnesses and/or physical/psychological impairments. She will listen to your concerns and inform you about what you can do. In general, she is committed to ensuring that no one is disadvantaged and that everyone can study appropriately. This semester, her open office hours will again take place on Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m. in C9.117b. You can contact her in person, by phone on 04131 677 1511 or by email at .

Teaching Day
Next week is Teaching Day with the overarching theme of “digitalization”. There will also be a panel discussion on this topic on the day. Yannick-Maria Reimers will be on the panel for us as students. In order to be perfectly prepared for the panel discussion, we still need your experience reports regarding digitalization at our university. Where is it already going well? What can be done better? Please send us an email to and tell us what you think. We will then forward it to Yannick-Maria.

Towing has been in place since Thursday
The campus is a traffic-calmed area. According to the StVO, this means that cars may only park in designated parking spaces: – P1 at the ZG (parking is not permitted on the road near Vamos!) – P2 at C12/C14 – P3 parking pallet at C1 – P4 at the sports hall (accessible via the entrance at C1 and often still plenty of space) – Parking is also permitted at the buildings if there is a blue parking sign. All other cars are now towed away. So the easiest way is simply to get on your bike 😉

Eerily beautiful greetings from building 9
