Neuer StuPa Vorsitz gesucht + Amtsvorstellung // bis 28.05. 🪑
Du bist teamfähig, strukturiert und leitest gerne Sitzungen? Wenn du Spaß an Organisation hast und gerne mit anderen zusammenarbeitest, dann bist du im Student*innenparlament genau richtig! Als Vorsitz (bestehend aus zwei bis drei Menschen) übernimmst du u.a. die Sitzungsleitung inkl. Vor- und Nachbereitung, kommunizierst mit AStA, Senat sowie Hochschulgremien und pflegst die Website. Antimuslim Racism: An interactive introduction to forms, narratives, and societal impact of historical and modern Anti-muslim racism, with M // 02.06. 🪷
Antimuslimischer Rassismus ist längst kein Randphänomen – er durchzieht gesellschaftliche Debatten, politische Entscheidungen und mediale Narrative. Doch was genau unterscheidet antimuslimischen Rassismus von Islamfeindlichkeit? Welche historischen Entwicklungen prägen das heutige Bild? Und welche Begriffe und Bilder wirken im Alltag weiter, ohne dass sie sofort als diskriminierend erkannt werden? Die Projektreihe des AStA zu Antisemitismus und antimuslimischem Rassismus beginnt mit einer ersten interaktiven Veranstaltung mit Mohammed Chahrour zum Thema ‘antimuslimischer Rassismus’. Diese Veranstaltung kann Ihnen als Ausgangspunkt dienen, um Rassismus und Diskriminierung gegenüber Arabern und Muslimen besser zu verstehen. Weitere Veranstaltungen auf unserer Website.

EliStu Umfrage zur Elternzufriedenheit – Eure Meinung zählt 🍼
Liebe Eltern, wir möchten gemeinsam mit Euch daran arbeiten, die Studienbedingungen und das Umfeld für Studierende mit Kind(ern) weiter zu verbessern. Dazu führen wir eine anonyme Umfrage zur Zufriedenheit von studierenden Eltern durch. Eure Erfahrungen, Bedürfnisse und Wünsche helfen uns, bestehende Angebote besser auf Euch abzustimmen und mögliche Herausforderungen frühzeitig zu erkennen. Liebe Studierende, gerne möchten wir euch auf den nächsten Talk unserer BEST Masterclass rund um CV, Anschreiben und erfolgreiche Bewerbung hinweisen. Die BEST Masterclass, ein Format der Deutschlandstiftung Integration, unterstützt junge Menschen mit Migrationsgeschichte oder als Erste in der Familie mit Studienhintergrund beim Berufseinstieg. Sie bietet monatliche Vorbilder-Talks auf YouTube mit inspirierenden Persönlichkeiten, praxisnahe LinkedIn Learning-Kurse und eine einjährige LinkedIn Premium Mitgliedschaft. Der nächste Vorbilder-Talk findet am 26.05. um 19:30 Uhr statt und wird von Musikjournalistin und DJ Miriam Davoudvandi moderiert. Zu Gast ist HR-Expertin Ayse Semiz-Ewald. Diversity Day // 27.05. 🌈
Das Thema des diesjährigen Diversity-Tags ist “Antifeminismus”. Das Gleichstellungsbüro lädt ab dem 27. Mai zu insgesamt vier Veranstaltungen ein zu den Themen “Antifeminismus als zentrale (extrem) rechte Strategie”, “Antifeminismus und Queerfeindlichkeit als Demokratiegefährdung”, “TradWife und Rechte Momfluencerinnen – Rechte Bilder von Mutterschaft und Erziehung in den Sozialen Medien” und “Science hostility and hate speech: How can we respond?”. Am 28. Mai präsentiert der Verein diversu e.V. seine Arbeit im Bereich der Antidiskriminierungsberatung vor der Mensa.  Weitere Infos.

Veranstaltungsreihe: Klimakommunikation (von NaPsy) // 27.05. ⛅
Nächste Woche startet unsere Veranstaltungsreihe zum Thema Klimakommunikation! Wie gelingt es, wirkungsvoll über das Klima zu reden? Darum geht es in drei Vorträgen, einem PubQuiz und einer Filmvorführung alle zwei Wochen dienstags um 18 Uhr in HS3. Los geht‘s am 27.05. mit einem Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Ulf Hahnel zum Thema “Die öffentliche Wahrnehmung des globalen Klimawandels und evidenzbasierte Wege zu nachhaltigerem Handeln”. Nein zur Bezahlkarte: Solidarisches Gutschein Tauschcafé // z.B. 28.05. 💳
In Lüneburg bekommen geflüchtete Menschen ihr Geld seit April auf eine Bezahlkarte. Diese Karte hat ein Bargeldlimit und schränkt Menschen stark darin ein, wann und wo sie einkaufen können. Du findest, mit dieser Einschränkung leben zu müssen ist diskriminierend? Du bist gegen rechtspopulistische Symbolpolitik und willst mit deiner praktischen Solidarität etwas entgegensetzen? Dann komm zum Tauschcafé, jeden 3. und 4. Donnerstag im Monat, 15:00 bis 18:00 Uhr im mosaique, Katzenstraße 1. Hier kannst Du dein Bargeld gegen einen Einkaufsgutschein (z.B. dm, Lidl, Edeka, Rewe oder Aldi). Den Gutschein hat eine Person mit ihrer Bezahlkarte gekauft und dafür von der Initiative ‘Nein zur Bezahlkarte’ Bargeld bekommen. Die Aktion ist vollkommen legal. Mehr Infos hier.

Join “Sensitivity to Otherness”– a participatory project exploring connection and touch through a workshop and an immersive rave experience // 05.06. ⚡
Discover new ways of engaging with yourself, others, and the non-human world through embodied practices, sound play, and musical improvisation. The project includes a workshop focused on interactive sound exploration, followed by a rave featuring the Orchestra of Touch – an interactive sound ritual using Playtronica technology. Both events are free and open to all. No experience needed – just curiosity. You’re welcome to join either or both. More info.

MusicalLabor: Spieglein, Spieglein, was ist schön? // 24.05. ++ weitere 🪞
Auf Instagram betrachten wir uns und andere tagtäglich. Als Spiegel eines digitalen Zeitalters werden wir ständig mit der Frage konfrontiert: „Bin ich schön genug?“ Was bedeutet es, als schön oder gutaussehend wahrgenommen zu werden? In Anlehnung an Liv Strömquists Comic „Spiegelsaal“ und als Neuschreibung des klassischen Märchenstoffs „Schneewittchen“ widersetzen wir uns diesem Diktat des Aussehens und räumen auf mit idealisierten Vorstellungen. Dafür steht ein ganzes Genre zur Verfügung: It‘s time for musicals! Mit einem Mix aus klassischen Musical- und aktuellen Pop-Songs haben wir eine Musikshow zur Feier aller Körper in ihrer Diversität und Unterschiedlichkeit erarbeitet. Singend, spielend und tanzend erobern wir uns unsere Körper (und den Blick auf diese) zurück!

Workshop in der Halle für Kunst: Unproductive Will // 24.05. 👁️
Unproductive Will ist ein körperbezogenes Forschungsprojekt von Jimena Pérez Salerno. Das Projekt regt dazu an, unsere Beziehung zur hegemonial-westlichen Vorstellung von linearer Zeit und produktivem Verhalten zu hinterfragen und diese als kollektive koloniale Wunden zu betrachten, die unseren Lebensalltag prägen. Auf spielerische Weise führt uns eine Partitur durch ein „fortwährendes” Warm-up mit dem Ziel, politisches Bewusstsein zu fördern. Der Workshop ist offen für Menschen unterschiedlichen Alters und mit verschiedenen Sprachkenntnissen, Fähigkeiten und Beeinträchtigungen. Wir bitten um Anmeldung unter: WannWoWie? 24. New StuPa chair sought + presentation of position // until 28.05. 🪑
Are you a team player, structured and enjoy chairing meetings? If you like organization and working with others, then the Student Parliament is the right place for you! As chair, you will be responsible for meetings, incl. preparation and follow-up, communicating with the AStA, Senate and university committees. More information will be available on May 14 in the Mufuzi (Building 9) at 3:00 pm. The office will be presented and you can ask any questions you may have. German language skills are required. Anti-Muslim racism is not an isolated issue – it permeates social situations, discourses, political decision-making, and media narratives. But what exactly distinguishes anti-Muslim racism from Islamophobia? What historical developments have shaped today’s realities? And which terms, images, and stereotypes continue to influence everyday life – often unnoticed? The AStA’s project serie on Antisemitism and Anti-muslim racism debuts their educational series with a first interactive event featuring Mohammed Chahrour on Anti-muslim racism. This event can serve you as a starting point on your journey to better understand racism and discrimination towards Arabs and muslims. You can find more details here.

Dear parents, We would like to work with you to further improve the study conditions and environment for students with children. To this end, we are conducting an anonymous survey on the satisfaction of student parents. Your experiences, needs, and wishes will help us better tailor existing offerings to your needs and identify potential challenges early on. Answering the questions only takes about 5–10 minutes. The BEST Masterclass, a program by the Deutschlandstiftung Integration, supports young people with a migration background or those who are the first in their families to attend university. It offers monthly role model talks on YouTube featuring inspiring guests, practical LinkedIn Learning courses, and a one-year LinkedIn Premium membership. The next talk takes place on May 26 at 7:30pm, hosted by music journalist and DJ Miriam Davoudvandi. Guest speaker: HR expert Ayse Semiz-Ewald.

This year’s Diversity Day at Leuphana focuses on the topic of ‘anti-feminism’. The Equal Opportunities Office invites you to four events starting on 27th May: “Antifeminism as a central (far-)right strategy”, “Antifeminism and queerphobia as a threat to democracy”, “TradWife and right-wing momfluencers – right-wing images of motherhood and parenting in social media”, and “Science hostility and hate speech: How can we respond?”. On 28th May, diversu is presenting its work in the field of anti-discrimination counselling in front of Mensa. More information.

Our series of events on climate communication starts next week! How can we talk effectively about the climate? Three lectures, a pub quiz and a film screening every two weeks on Tuesdays at 6 pm in HS3. It starts on 27.05. with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Ulf Hahnel on “The public perception of global climate change and evidence-based paths to more sustainable action”. No to the payment card: solidarity voucher exchange café // e.g. 28.05. 💳
In Lüneburg, refugees have been receiving their money on a payment card since April. This card has a cash limit and severely restricts people in terms of when and where they can shop. Do you think having to live with this restriction is discriminatory? Are you against right-wing populist symbolic politics and want to do something about it with your practical solidarity? Then come to the exchange café, every 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month, 15:00 to 18:00 at mosaique, Katzenstraße 1. Here you can exchange your cash for a shopping voucher (e.g. dm, Lidl, Edeka, Rewe or Aldi). One person bought the voucher with their payment card and received cash in return from the ‘No to payment cards’ initiative. The campaign is completely legal. More information here.

MusicalLabor: Mirror, mirror, what is beautiful? // 24.05. ++ many more 🪞 [in German]
We look at ourselves and others on Instagram every day. As a mirror of a digital age, we are constantly confronted with the question: “Am I beautiful enough?” What does it mean to be perceived as beautiful or good-looking? Based on Liv Strömquist’s comic “Hall of Mirrors” and as a rewriting of the classic fairy tale “Snow White”, we resist this dictate of appearance and do away with idealized notions. An entire genre is available for this: It’s time for musicals! With a mix of classic musicals and current pop songs, we have created a musical show to celebrate all bodies in all their diversity and variety. Singing, playing and dancing, we reclaim our bodies (and our view of them)!

Workshop in the Halle für Kunst: Unproductive Will // 24.05. 👁️
Unproductive Will is a body-based research project by Jimena Pérez Salerno. The project encourages us to question our relationship to the hegemonic Western notion of linear time and productive behavior and to view these as collective colonial wounds that shape our everyday lives. In a playful way, a score will guide us through a “perpetual” warm-up with the aim of promoting political awareness. The workshop is open to people of different ages and with different language skills, abilities and disabilities. Please register at:
