Was seht ihr da? Es ist ein Freitags-Newsletter, Juhuu! Der Campus lebt und bebt in den letzten Tagen wieder. Viele Menschen, grüne Pflanzen, gutes Mai-Wetter, tolle Events – und auch ab und zu ein wenig Baulärm rund um den Hörsaalgang. Naja, wir werden es überhören, allein schon weil das AStA Sommer Open Air und das Lunatic-Festival bald ganz andere Töne anschlagen. Bis dahin ist aber noch ein wenig Zeit und die gilt es zu füllen. Dementsprechend haben wir auch einen pickepackevollen Sack an Events und Ausschreibungen für euch. Klingt gut? Finden wir auch, denn das bedeutet freitägliches, fröhliches Formulieren for Fun. Fiel Freude (beim Lesen und den Events)! 

Werde Teil des AStA-Sprecher*innenkollektivs! Workshop // 22.05. ⭐
Es ist wieder soweit: Die vorlesungsfreie Zeit nach dem Sommersemester sowie viele tolle Sachen wie das Sommer Open Air (stay tuned) stehen vor der Tür. Das bedeutet auch, dass das Amt der AStA-Sprecher*innen neu gewählt wird. Doch was bedeutet das überhaupt, was macht ein*e AStA-Sprecher*in? Das und vieles mehr erfahrt ihr beim Workshop am 22. Mai um 17:30 Uhr im AStA Büro (Gebäude 9).

Neuer StuPa Vorsitz gesucht + Amtsvorstellung // bis 28.05. 🪑
Du bist teamfähig, strukturiert und leitest gerne Sitzungen? Wenn du Spaß an Organisation hast und gerne mit anderen zusammenarbeitest, dann bist du im Student*innenparlament genau richtig! Als Vorsitz (bestehend aus zwei bis drei Menschen) übernimmst du u.a. die Sitzungsleitung inkl. Vor- und Nachbereitung, kommunizierst mit AStA, Senat sowie Hochschulgremien und pflegst die Website. Lüneburger Friedensfest // 18.05. 🕊️
Anlässlich der 80-jährigen Befreiung vom Nationalsozialismus gibt es am Sonntag, den 18. Mai ab 15 Uhr auf dem Marktplatz rund zweieinhalb Stunden ein Fest mit einer Mischung aus Mahnung, Mitmachaktionen und ganz viel Musik. Alle Infos gibt es online hier, denn das Programm wird fortlaufend aktualisiert. Dort findet sich auch eine Vielzahl an Informationen rund um das Kriegsende.

Sommer Open Air Planungstreffen // 19.05. 🫂
Die Planung für’s Sommer Open Air am 11. Juli ist bereits im vollen Gange! Wenn du Lust hast, im Kernteam dabei zu sein, dann komm zu unserem offenen Treffen. Das Kernteam übernimmt Aufgaben wie die Geländegestaltung, Helfi-Koordination, Artist Care oder die Barleitung. Sei an Bord beim geilsten Semesterabschlusstag Deutschlands.

Podiumsdiskussion zu den StuPa Wahlen // 19.05. 🗨️
Die Wahlen des Studierenden-Parlaments stehen kurz vor der Tür. Vom 20.-22. Mai können wir, die Studis, wählen. Aber was ist das Studierenden-Parlament, worüber entscheidet es, wer steht zur Wahl und warum solltest du wählen gehen? Wenn du Antworten auf diese Fragen und mehr über die StuPa Wahlen wissen willst, dann komm am Montag dem 19.05 um 19 Uhr in den Hörsaal 1!! Nach einem kurzen Info-Block zu den Wahlen, diskutieren wir mit den antretenden Listen über ihre Standpunkte und Ziele. Die Veranstaltung wird auf deutsch stattfinden. Queere Ringvorlesung: „Wir wollen, dass es allen Menschen möglichst gut geht“ – Onlineworkshop zu Awareness // 19.05. 💜
Awareness ist ein Konzept, dass sich gegen jede Form von Grenzverletzung, Gewalt und Diskriminierung in Handlung und Haltung stellt. Diese sollen nicht toleriert werden. Stattdessen sollen Veränderungs- und Handlungsmöglichkeiten aufgezeigt werden. In  diesem Workshop wollen wir uns mit folgenden Fragen beschäftigen: Was haben Diskriminierungs- und Privilegierungsstrukturen mit dem Thema zu tun? Was bedeutet es Awareness-Arbeit zu machen? Was für Probleme treten dabei oft auf? Wie lässt sich mit Grenzüberschreitungen und Übergriffen konstruktiv umgehen? Wie lässt sich Awareness-Arbeit weiterdenken? Wir freuen uns auf eure Teilnahme!

Queere Ringvorlesung: Vorstellung von gender affirming Hilfsmitteln und ihrer Relevanz für trans* Gesundheit – Workshop // 20.05. 🌈
Der Fuck Yeah Sexshop ist konzipiert als praktisch-konkreter Ort der trans Gesundheit. Aus dem Fuck Yeah Kollektiv kommt Zarah an die Leuphana und geht den Fragen nach: Welche positiven Effekte können gender affirming Produkte auf Genderdysphorie haben? Welche Rolle spielen sie in der Lebensrealität von trans* Personen? – Es wird eine vielfältige Auswahl von gender affirming Hilfsmitteln gezeigt und erklärt, wie Binder, Tucking Wäsche, Sextoys. Die Sextoys werden am Ende nach einer kleinen Pause und Content Note vorgestellt, sodass Menschen auch davor gehen können.

Hochschulwahlen: Du hast die Wa(h)l // 20.-22.05. 🐳
Die studentischen Hochschulwahlen stehen an! Vom 20. bis 22.Mai könnt ihr in der Mensa mit eurer Stimme das neue StuPa und die neuen FGVen wählen, also gleich in den Kalender eintragen! Auf Grundlage dieser Stimmen werden die 17 Sitze des StuPas an die Listen verteilt. Letztendlich werden diese 17 Mitglieder dann z.B. über die finanziellen Mittel der Studierenden entscheiden, sich entsprechend der Mehrheiten politisch festlegen und den Allgemeinen Student*innenausschuss (AStA) wählen. Wir sind CatcallsofLueneburg. Wir arbeiten im öffentlichen Raum sowie auf Social Media. Auf Instagram bekommen wir DMs zu Vorfällen von (verbaler) sexueller Belästigung, die sich in/um Lüneburg ereignet haben. Diese kreiden wir am Ort des Geschehens an, machen ein Foto und posten dies zusammen mit der anonymisierten Nachricht auf Instagram. Damit  wollen wir den Ort für die betroffene Person zurückerobern und dazu die Menschen, die an  den Ankreidungen vorbeilaufen oder -scrollen auf die stattfindende Belästigung aufmerksam  machen. Vakuum Workshop Wednesday: Projection Mapping // 21.05. 🔦
Eine neue Vakuum Event-Serie: Der Workshop Wednesday! In den nächsten Monaten erwarten euch regelmäßige Mittwochs-Workshops von eurem AStA Kulturreferat. Der Auftakt dafür findet am nächsten Mittwoch, den 21. Mai, um 17.30 Uhr statt: In eurer WG steht eine Hausparty an & ihr wolltet schon immer mal mit Licht experimentieren? Beim Projection Mapping werden Videos auf Oberflächen projiziert und dabei an die Formgebung des Untergrunds angepasst. So können vorhandene Videos abgespielt, aber auch ganz neue Kunstwerke erstellt werden. Alles was du brauchst sind ein Laptop, ein Beamer, eine Maus und die App “Touch-Designer” (kostenlos, aber Account benötigt). Und schon kannst du jeden Raum in eine coole Video-Installation verwandeln. Mahnwache Keine A39 vom KlimaKollektiv // 18.5. ❌
Am Sonntag von 13-15 Uhr ist Mahnwache im Lüner Holz um gegen den Bau der A39 zu protestieren. 12:30 Uhr startet eine kleine gemeinsame Fahrradanfahrt vom Marktplatz/Ecke An den Brodbänken (ehemals Lünebuch). Das Lüner Holz ist ein schützenswertes Waldgebiet ca. 2 km von der Lüneburger Innenstadt entfernt. Hier sollen viele Bäume gefällt werden, um die Autobahn zu bauen. Interaktiver Gesprächsführungsworkshop für die Beratung von Geflüchteten // 21.05. 👂
Du hast Lust Dich ehrenamtlich für Geflüchtete zu engagieren und ihnen im Asylverfahren durch Beratungen zur Seite zu stehen? Dann komm am Mittwoch im MuFuZi vorbei und nutze die Chance von Bian Sukrow (Leitung der Bucerius Law School Law Clinic) praktische Tipps zu bekommen für Beratungssituationen und Umgangsformen. In interaktiven Simulationen kannst Du nicht nur Deine rechtliche Einschätzung von Fällen trainieren, sondern auch ein angemessenes, sensitives Verhalten erlernen. Egal ob Vorwissen oder  nicht, schnupper doch gerne rein und lerne die Refugee Law Clinic Lüneburg kennen!

Seebrücke + Antirepressionsgruppe Filmvorführung: “Hamburger Gitter” // 21.05. ✊
Am 21.05. um 19:30 Uhr zeigt die Seebrücke Lüneburg den Film “Hamburger Gitter” im Scala! Auch knapp acht Jahre nach den Repressionen gegen die G20-Proteste in Hamburg bleiben die Fragen die der Film aufwirft aktuell: Welche Garantien des Grundgesetzes konnten rund um den G20-Gipfel standhalten? Mit welcher Leichtigkeit konnten die Behörden agieren? Welche Methoden der Ausnahmesituation werden langsam zur Normalität? Und welche Gesellschaft zeichnet sich da am Horizont ab? Im Anschluss gibt es eine Nachbesprechung mit der Antirepressionsgruppe Lüneburg. Der Eintritt ist frei, um Spenden wird gebeten.

Spannungen nehmen zu, Diskriminierung ist omnipräsent, und du weißt nicht, wo du anfangen sollst? Die Bildungsreihe des AStA zu Antisemitismus und antimuslimischem Rassismus startet bald mit einer ersten interaktiven Veranstaltung mit Mohammed Chahrour zum Thema antimuslimischer Rassismus. Diese Veranstaltung kann dir als Ausgangspunkt dienen, um Rassismus und Diskriminierung gegenüber arabischen und muslimischen Menschen besser zu verstehen.

Seebrücke Lesung: “Alles nur Einzelfälle? Das System hinter der Polizeigewalt” mit Mohamed Amjahid // 11.06. 🚨
Rassistische und antisemitische Polizei-Chats, Machtmissbrauch im Amt, Racial Profiling, weit verzweigte rechtsextreme Netzwerke, tödliche Polizeigewalt – laut Innenministerien und Sicherheitsbehörden alles nur Einzelfälle. A Night at the Museum! JazzIG Jam Session // 23.05. 🎷
1963 erschien das legendäre Album „With The Beatles“ – die Jungs der Hausband waren gerade in der Pubertät! Nie zuvor hat eine Band die Musikgeschichte so grundlegend beeinflusst, wie die vier Pilzköpfe aus Liverpool. John Lennon und Paul McCartney zählen heute mit zu den erfolgreichsten Songwritern überhaupt. An diesem Abend verneigen wir uns und erweisen den Beatles unsere Reverenz. Dafür haben wir einige ihrer bekannten Titel neu arrangiert und mit einem „jazzigen Gewand“ versehen. Uns ist bewusst, dass man die Songs der Beatles nicht verbessern kann, aber sie werden etwas anders klingen, als im Original. Wir – die Hausband – haben nie im Cavern und auch nicht im Star Club gespielt, aber wir sind mit Leib und Seele Beatle-Fans. An diesem besonderen Abend wollen wir die unglaublichen „fab four“ alle zusammen richtig feiern mit dem Motto … „come together and let it be!„

What are you looking at? It’s a Friday newsletter, yay! The campus is alive and kicking again in the last few days. Lots of people, green plants, good May weather, great events – and also a little construction noise around the lecture hall corridor from time to time. Well, we’ll ignore it, if only because the AStA Summer Open Air and the Lunatic Festival will soon be making completely different noises. But there’s still a little time until then and we need to fill it. Accordingly, we have a jam-packed bag of events and announcements for you. Sounds good? We think so too, because that means happy formulating for fun on Fridays. Enjoy reading and the events!

Become part of the AStA speakers collective! Workshop // 22.05. ⭐
It’s that time again: The lecture-free period after the summer semester and lots of great things like the Summer Open Air (stay tuned) are just around the corner. This also means that the positions of AStA spokespersons will be newly elected. But what does that actually mean and what does an AStA spokesperson do? You can find out this and much more at the workshop on May 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the AStA office (Building 9).

New StuPa chair sought + presentation of position // until 28.05. 🪑
Are you a team player, structured and enjoy chairing meetings? If you like organization and working with others, then the Student Parliament is the right place for you! As chair, you will be responsible for meetings, incl. preparation and follow-up, communicating with the AStA, Senate and university committees. More information will be available on May 14 in the Mufuzi (Building 9) at 3:00 pm. The office will be presented and you can ask any questions you may have. German language skills are required. Lüneburg Peace Festival // 18.05. 🕊️
To mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation from National Socialism, there will be a two-and-a-half-hour festival on the market square on Sunday, May 18, starting at 3 pm, with a mixture of reminders, hands-on activities and lots of music. All information is available online here, as the program is continuously updated. There you will also find information about the end of the war.

The planning for the Summer Open Air on July 11th is already in full swing! If you would like to be part of the core team, then come to our open meeting. Panel discussion on the StuPa elections // 19.05. 🗨️ [in German]
The student parliament elections are just around the corner. From May 20-22, we, the students, can vote. But what is the Student Parliament, what does it decide, who is standing for election and why should you vote? If you want to know the answers to these questions and more about the StuPa elections, then come to lecture hall 1 on Monday, May 19th at 7pm! After a short information block on the elections, we will discuss their positions and goals with the candidate lists. The event will be held in German. Queere Ringvorlesung: „We want everyone to be as well off as possible“ – Online-Workshop on awareness work // 19.05. 💜 [in German]
Awareness is a concept that opposes any form of boundary violation, violence and discrimination in action and attitude. These should not be tolerated. Instead, possibilities for change and action should be shown. In this workshop we want to deal with the following questions: What do structures of discrimination and privilege have to do with the topic? What does it mean to do awareness work? What kind of problems often arise? How can we deal constructively with boundaries being crossed and assaults? How can awareness work be further developed?

Queere Ringvorlesung: Presentation of gender affirming tools and their relevance for trans* health – Workshop // 20.05. 🌈 [in German]
The Fuck Yeah Sexshop is conceived as a practical and concrete place of trans health. Zarah from the Fuck Yeah collective is coming to Leuphana to explore the questions: What positive effects can gender affirming products have on gender dysphoria? What role do they play in the reality of trans* people’s lives? – A diverse selection of gender affirming aids will be shown and explained, such as binders, tucking underwear and sex toys. The sex toys are presented at the end after a short break and content note, so that people can also walk in front of them.

University elections // 20-22.05. 🐳
The student university elections are coming up! From May 20 to 22, you can vote for the new StuPa and the new FGVs in the Mensa, so mark your calendars now! Based on these votes, the 17 StuPa seats will be allocated to the lists. Ultimately, these 17 members will then decide, for example, on the students’ financial resources, decide on policies according to the majorities and elect the General Students’ Committee (AStA). We are CatcallsofLueneburg. We work in public spaces and on social media. On Instagram, we receive DMs about incidents of (verbal) sexual harassment that have occurred in/around Lüneburg. With chalk we write them down at the location of the incident, take a photo and post this together with the anonymized message on Instagram. In this way, we want to reclaim the place for the person concerned and make people who walk or scroll past the chalkings aware of the harassment taking place. You are not alone! Vakuum Workshop Wednesday: Projection Mapping // 21.05. 🔦
A new vakuum event series: The Workshop Wednesday! Over the next few months, you can expect regular Wednesday workshops from your AStA cultural department. The kick-off will take place next Wednesday, May 21, at 5.30 pm: There’s a house party coming up in your shared flat & you’ve always wanted to experiment with light? With projection mapping, videos are projected onto surfaces and adapted to the shape of the background. Existing videos can be played, but completely new works of art can also be created. All you need is a laptop, a projector, a mouse and the “Touch Designer” app (free, but requires an account). And then you can turn any room into a cool video installation. Please register for the workshop via Instagram DM (@vakuum_asta) or e-mail () with your name, your Leuphana e-mail & preferred language (English/German) – no previous knowledge is required! The temperatures are getting warmer and we want to celebrate a spring festival with you! On 17 May from 1pm to 9pm you can expect guided tours, screen printing, music, a flea market (no money), children’s games, music, drinks and delicious food. We look forward to seeing you!

No A39 vigil by the KlimaKollektiv // 18.5. ❌
On Sunday from 1-3 pm there will be a vigil in Lüner Holz to protest against the construction of the A39. At 12:30 pm a small joint bicycle ride starts from the market square/corner of An den Brodbänken. Lüner Holz is a forest area 2 km from the city centre. On 21 May at 19:30, Seebrücke Lüneburg will be showing the film ‘Hamburger Gitter’ at the Scala! Almost eight years after the repression against the G20 protests in Hamburg, the questions raised by the film remain topical: Which guarantees of the Basic Law were able to withstand the G20 summit? With what ease were the authorities able to act? Which methods of the exceptional situation are slowly becoming normality? And what kind of society is emerging on the horizon? Afterwards there will be a debriefing with the Lüneburg anti-repression group. Admission is free, donations are requested.

A Night at the Museum! JazzIG Jam Session // 23.05. 🎷
The legendary album “With The Beatles” was released in 1963 – the boys in the house band were just going through puberty! Never before has a band had such a fundamental influence on music history as the four mushroom heads from Liverpool. Today, John Lennon and Paul McCartney are among the most successful songwriters of all time. On this evening, we take a bow and pay our respects to the Beatles. We have rearranged some of their well-known songs and given them a “jazzy makeover”. We are aware that the Beatles’ songs cannot be improved, but they will sound a little different from the original. We – the house band – have never played at the Cavern or the Star Club, but we are Beatle fans with heart and soul. On this special evening, we want to celebrate the incredible “fab four” all together with the motto … “come together and let it be!”
