THEATRE PLAY: MEDITERRANEAN MONOLOGUES AT MOSAIQUE ON 09.11.
The Mediterranean Monologues tell the story of the politically resistant Naomie from Cameroon and Yassin from Libya, who find themselves on a boat to Europe, of brutal ‘coastguards’ and dubious sea rescue services and of activists who do something to stop people dying in the Mediterranean.
At the ‘Alarmphone’, the activists convince the coastguards to search for people in distress at sea and learn how to save people from drowning on the Seawatch – in short, they do the most obvious thing, which is anything but obvious in 2019: saving human lives!
