Liebe allee,
was ein Abriss! Vielen Dank für eure Energy und dass so viele mit uns letzte Woche beim AStA Sommer Open Air in die Semesterferien getanzt haben. Wir hatten eine richtig richtig tolle Zeit und hoffen sehr, euch hat es genau so gut gefallen wie uns <3
Aber warte – “Semesterferien”? Trifft nicht ganz zu, hmmm? Jetzt ist wohl erst einmal ackern angesagt – bei den vielen von euch zumindest. Bei uns im AStA passiert gerade ebenfalls einiges. Viele Stellen werden/wurden neu besetzt & bald stellen sich die vier neuen Sprecher*innen bei euch vor. Seid gespannt! 

AStA Newsletter Werbung & Sommerpause im August 📵
Ahoi aus der Zentrale! Aktuell kommen – wahrscheinlich dem Semesterende, der Prüfungsphase und dem Sommer geschuldet recht wenige Einträge bei uns rein. Aus diesem Grund wollten wir einmal darauf aufmerksam machen, dass mehrere tausend Studis regelmäßig hier reinschauen, und sich der Newsletter entsprechend neben Social Media hervorragend für Veranstaltungsbewerbung aller Art anbietet 😉 Beitrage gern wie immer unter diesem Link auf unserer Website einreichen.
Außerdem ein kurzer Hinweis: Im August kommt voraussichtlich kein Newsletter. Ihr wisst jetzt schon, dass etwas sehr wichtiges in dieser Zeit ansteht? Dann lasst es uns sehr gern frühzeitig wissen. Wir werden aber auch im August regelmäßig das Postfach checken! 

KonRad Sommerpause // 11.-24.08. 🚳
Aufgepasst! KonRad macht vom 11. – 24. August Sommerpause: Ihr wollt also eine sommerliche Fahrradtour machen, euer Fahrrad braucht aber neue Bremsbeläge, die Gangschaltung hakt oder ein Reifen ist platt? Dann erledigt das besser noch vor dem 11. August! 😉

Abschluss der Veranstaltungsreihe Klimakommunikation: Film „Der laute Frühling“ // 22.07. 🌿
Zum Abschluss unserer Veranstaltungsreihe zum Thema Klimakommunikation zeigen wir am Dienstag, den 22. Juli um 18 Uhr in Hörsaal 3 den inspirierenden Film „Der laute Frühling – Gemeinsam aus der Klimakrise“. Der Dokumentarfilm untersucht die Ursachen und Konsequenzen des menschengemachten Klimawandels, vor allem aber auch Wege hinaus aus der Klimakrise. Der Eintritt ist frei, es wird aber um eine kleine Spende gebeten. Snacks und Getränke bekommt ihr ebenfalls auf Spendenbasis. Bis dann 🙂

Nein zur Bezahlkarte: Solidarisches Gutschein Tauschcafé 🪪
Die Lüneburger Initiative ‘Lüneburg sagt nein zur Bezahlkarte’ veranstaltet seit einigen Wochen im mosaique ein Tauschcafé. Das mosaique ist nun in Sommerpause. Deshalb finden die Aktionen bis zum 8. August am Guten Morgen Shop statt. Hier zum Hintergrund:
In Lüneburg bekommen geflüchtete Menschen ihr Geld seit April auf eine Bezahlkarte. Diese Karte hat ein Bargeldlimit und schränkt Menschen stark darin ein, wann und wo sie einkaufen können. Du findest, mit dieser Einschränkung leben zu müssen ist diskriminierend? Du bist gegen rechtspopulistische Symbolpolitik und willst mit deiner praktischen Solidarität etwas entgegensetzen? Dann komm zum Tauschcafé, jeden 3. und 4. Donnerstag im Monat, 15:00 bis 18:00 Uhr. Hier kannst Du dein Bargeld gegen einen Einkaufsgutschein tauschen. Den Gutschein hat eine Person mit ihrer Bezahlkarte gekauft und dafür von unserer Initiative Bargeld bekommen. Die Aktion ist vollkommen legal. Mehr Infos hier.

PlanB Open Call: Exhibit your art // bis 01.08. 🛋️
As some of you may have already seen, PlanB has not only been redecorated, but the walls are also empty again. This can only mean one thing, and that is that the PlanB art team is looking for people who would like to exhibit their art in order to fill PlanB with art again. The exhibition would also be accompanied by a vernissage, i.e. an opening event for the beginning of the next semester. So if you photograph, paint, sculpt, etc. and would like other students to enjoy your art and be inspired, please contact us by 1st of August via email () or instagram (planb_lueneburg). Please write something about yourself and what you do and send us a few examples, if available. Even if you are new or still unsure, feel free to apply! You don’t need any previous experience or anything similar. We look forward to all sorts of small, large, monochrome, colorful, playful, funny, moving or whatever flutters our way.

Lüneburger Orgelsommer: Peter van Dijk // 19.07. 🎹
Pieter van Dijk (Alkmaar) spielt am Samstag, den 19.07. (morgen) in der St. Michaelis Kirche Orgelmusik von Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Johann Debastian Bach, César Franck, Günther Raphael, Jehan Alain und Andries van Rossem. Pieter van Dijk ist Professor für Orgel an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg sowie am Konservatorium von Amsterdam. Als Gastprofessor unterrichtete er an den Hochschulen in Antwerpen, Cambridge, Dresden, Helsinki, Oxford, St. Petersburg, Danzig, Stuttgart und Toulouse. Er ist als Organist an der Grote Sint Laurenskerk in Alkmaar tätig.

Dialogführung zur Erinnerungskultur: Verdrängt, vergessen, verehrt, verklärt? // 20.07. 🌀
Das Historiker-Paar Dr. Heike Düselder und Dr. Christoph Reinders-Düselder lädt zu einer Dialogführung im Museum Lüneburg ein, die das Erinnern an historische Ereignisse und Personen in den Blick nimmt. Anlass ist der 81. Jahrestag des 20. Juli 1944, des Anschlags auf Hitler. In Lüneburg erinnern Straßennamen in Kaltenmoor an die Widerstandskämpfer aus dem Kreis der Offiziere. Straßennamen spiegeln Geschichte, vor allem aber Geschichtskultur wider. Die Entstehungsgeschichte von Denkmälern muss heute zu denken geben. In Lüneburg lassen sich die Phasen der Erinnerungskultur der Bundesrepublik vom Kriegsende bis in die Gegenwart am lokalen Beispiel und den Objekten im Museum nachzeichnen.

what a friday that was! Thank you so much for your energy and for dancing with us into the semester break at the AStA Summer Open Air last week. We had a really great time and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did <3 
But wait – semester “break”? Doesn’t quite apply, hmmm? Now it’s probably time to get down to work – at least for many of you. There’s also a lot going on at the AStA at the moment. Many positions are/have been filled & soon the four new spokespersons will introduce themselves to you. Be curious!

AStA Newsletter Advertising & summer break in August 📵
Ahoi from the office! We are currently receiving very few entries – probably due to the end of the semester, the examination phase and the summer. For this reason, we wanted to draw your attention to the fact that several thousand students regularly check in here and that the newsletter is therefore ideal for all kinds of event advertising in addition to social media 😉 As always, please submit your contributions via this link on our website.
Also a quick note: There will probably be no newsletter in August. Do you already know that something very important is coming up during this time? Then let us know in good time. But we will also be checking the mailbox regularly in August!

KonRad summer break // August 11-24 🚳
Watch out! KonRad is taking a summer break from August 11 – 24: So you want to go on a summer bike tour, but your bike needs new brake pads, the gears are stuck or a tire is flat? Then you’d better get it done before August 11th 😉

Event series climate communication: Film-screening „Der laute Frühling“ // 22.07. 🌿
To conclude our series of events on climate communication, we will show on Tuesday, July 22nd at 6pm in lecture hall 3, the inspiring film „Der laute Frühling – Gemeinsam aus der Klimakrise“. The documentary examines the causes and consequences of human-induced climate change, but most importantly, it also explores ways out of the climate crisis. 
Admission is free, but a small donation is requested. Snacks and drinks are also available on a donation basis. See you then! 🙂

No to the payment card: solidarity voucher exchange café 🪪
The Lüneburg initiative ‘Lüneburg says no to the payment card’ has been organizing an exchange café at mosaique for several weeks. The mosaique is now on summer break. Therefore, the activities will take place at the Guten Morgen Shop until August 8. Background information: 
In Lüneburg, refugees have been receiving their money on a payment card since April. This card has a cash limit and severely restricts people in terms of when and where they can shop. Do you think having to live with this restriction is discriminatory? Are you against right-wing populist symbolic politics and want to do something about it with your practical solidarity? Then come to the swap café, every 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month, 15:00 to 18:00. Here you can swap your cash for a shopping voucher. A person has bought the voucher with their payment card and received cash from our initiative in return. The campaign is completely legal. More information here.

Pieter van Dijk (Alkmaar) will be playing organ music by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Johann Debastian Bach, César Franck, Günther Raphael, Jehan Alain and Andries van Rossem in St. Michael’s Church on Saturday, 19 July (tomorrow). Pieter van Dijk is professor of organ at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg and at the Amsterdam Conservatory. He has taught as a visiting professor at the universities in Antwerp, Cambridge, Dresden, Helsinki, Oxford, St. Petersburg, Gdansk, Stuttgart and Toulouse. He works as an organist at the Grote Sint Laurenskerk in Alkmaar.

Dialogue tour on the culture of remembrance: Repressed, forgotten, revered, glorified? // 20.07. 🌀 [in German]
The historian couple Dr. Heike Düselder and Dr. Christoph Reinders-Düselder invite you to a guided tour of the Lüneburg Museum, which focuses on the remembrance of historical events and people. The occasion is the 81st anniversary of July 20, 1944, the assassination attempt on Hitler. In Lüneburg, street names in Kaltenmoor commemorate the resistance fighters from the officers‘ circle. Street names reflect history, but above all historical culture. The history of the creation of memorials must give food for thought today. In Lüneburg, the phases of the culture of remembrance in the Federal Republic from the end of the war to the present day can be traced using local examples and the objects in the museum.
