From Lüneburg to Belém – Keep your Promise! Vom 10. bis zum 21. November sprechen die Regierungschefs auf der Weltklimakonferenz (COP30) über neue Klimaziele. Gleichzeitig wollen wir am 14. November weltweit auf die Straße gehen: Unsere Zukunft ist nicht verhandelbar – wir brauchen jetzt Klimagerechtigkeit! Tragt deshalb diesen Freitag fett in eurem Kalender ein, redet mit euren Freunden und kommt alle mit und werdet laut! 14.11., 14 Uhr, Marktplatz. – Wir sehen uns!

Plant-Based Universities kommt nach Lüneburg // 19.11. 🍃

Plant-Based Universities ist eine europaweite Kampagne für eine klimafreundlichere, pflanzenbasierte Campus-Verpflegung. Immer mehr Unis machen es vor – jetzt sind wir dran. Ich möchte die Kampagne nach Lüneburg holen und suche Menschen, die Lust haben, Teil des Wandels zu sein. Komm vorbei, wenn du mitgestalten oder einfach erstmal hören möchtest, worum es geht.

A Taste of Connection  // 21.11. 💬

Nehmt an unserem Event „A Taste of Connection” teil! Wir, der Seminarkurs „Think REAL: Cultivating Regenerative Entrepreneurial Mindsets”, laden euch zu unserem Community-Festival „A Taste of Connection” ein. Bei diesem Fest dreht sich alles um Kreativität, Gemeinschaft und sinnvollen Austausch. Erlebt einen Tag voller interaktiver Workshops, darunter Mandala-Kunst, Poetry Slam, Naturerkundung, Kaffeegespräche und kulinarische Erlebnisse. Der Tag endet mit einem kleinen Benefizkonzert, das alle durch Musik zusammenbringt. Gegen eine kleine Spende bieten wir Speisen und Getränke an. Bitte meldet euch hier für die Workshops an, an denen ihr teilnehmen möchtet.

Ursula Krechel: “Sehr geehrte Frau Ministerin” und “Vom Herzasthma des Exils” // 19.11. 🎤

Der Literarische Beirat des Literaturbüros Lüneburg hat Ursula Krechel als Ehrengast im Heinrich-Heine-Haus 2025 benannt. In der Jurybegründung heißt es, „Die Vielfalt von Ursula Krechels Werk ist beeindruckend – sie ist Prosaautorin, Lyrikerin, Essayistin und schreibt Theaterstücke und Hörspiele. Krechels atmosphärisch dichten Romane sind filigran konstruiert. In ihnen greift die Schriftstellerin, wie auch besonders in ihren Essays, wichtige und herausfordernde Themen der Geschichte und Gegenwart auf.“ Im Januar 2025 ist Krechels Roman „Sehr geehrte Frau Ministerin“ erschienen, darin erzählt sie von symbiotischer Mutterschaft, von existenziell gefährdeten Frauen und von politischer Gewalt. Im Juli 2025 erscheint „Vom Herzasthma des Exils“ – Ein Buch über die Etappen, Widersprüche und Konsequenzen der Migrationsgeschichte von der französischen Revolution bis ins 21. Jahrhundert.

Bob Blume: Warum noch lernen? Podiumsgespräch zur Schule der Zukunft // 21.11. 🏫

Warum finden die meisten Schüler*innen, dass sie in der Schule nichts Rele­vantes gelernt haben? Wie kann es sein, dass der Großteil der Lerninhalte wieder vergessen wird? Und der Bildungs­erfolg in Deutschland immer noch vom Eltern­haus abhängt? Wie lässt sich die Frage nach Chancengleichheit in einem System beantworten, das schon in jungen Jahren nach Schularten aussortiert? Lehrer und Bildungsinfluencer Bob Blume sagt: Wir müssen uns darüber klarwerden, warum wir im 21. Jahrhundert lernen. Dieses Warum muss im Zentrum der Bildung stehen. Denn nur dann kann Lernen erfüllend und sinnstiftend sein. Er formuliert eine klare Vision für die Schule der Zukunft und zeigt, dass ein gemeinsames Verständnis von Bil­dung und Lernen der einzige Weg aus der Bildungsmisere ist. Wie sich das Bildungs­system dafür ändern muss, diskutiert er mit Simone Abels, Vizepräsidentin für Lehrkräftebildung an der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg.

Premiere: Der Zauberer von Oz// 21.11. 🎭

Doro soll eigentlich schon schlafen, da zieht draußen ein Gewitter auf. Es donnert, blitzt, und leise klopft etwas an ihr Fenster. Es ist ein Heißluftballon. Angezogen von einem grünen Licht, fällt sie in den leeren Korb des Ballons und wird von einem Wirbelsturm in das geheimnisvolle Land Oz getragen. Doro möchte so schnell wie möglich wieder nach Hause. Doch so einfach ist das nicht. Nur der Zauberer von Oz kann sie zurückbringen, und dem soll sie dafür sechs grüne Smaragde bringen. Wo soll sie denn jetzt die Smaragde finden? Auf der Suche trifft sie den Strohmann, der eigentlich klug sein möchte, aber nur Stroh im Kopf hat, die Blechfrau, die sich nach einem Herzen sehnt und den ängstlichen Löwen, der sich wünscht, mutig zu sein. Zusammen machen sie sich auf den Weg zum Zauberer, und bestehen gemeinsam Abenteuer im Mohnfeld, im Porzellanland und im Wald der Kampfbäume. Beim Zauberer angekommen, erwartet sie eine Überraschung, und all ihre Wünsche gehen in Erfüllung. Allerdings anders als erwartet.

Ursula Krechel: “Dear Madam Minister” and “On the Heart Asthma of Exile” // Nov 19 🎤 [German]

The Literary Advisory Board of the Literaturbüro Lüneburg has named Ursula Krechel as guest of honor at the Heinrich Heine House in 2025. The jury stated, “The diversity of Ursula Krechel’s work is impressive—she is a prose writer, poet, essayist, and writes plays and radio plays. Krechel’s atmospherically dense novels are intricately constructed. In them, as well as in her essays in particular, the writer addresses important and challenging themes from history and the present day.“ Krechel’s novel ”Sehr geehrte Frau Ministerin” (Dear Madam Minister) was published in January 2025, in which she tells of symbiotic motherhood, women in existential danger, and political violence. In July 2025, “Vom Herzasthma des Exils” (The Heart Asthma of Exile) will be published—a book about the stages, contradictions, and consequences of migration history from the French Revolution to the 21st century.

Bob Blume: Why bother learning? Panel discussion on the school of the future // Nov 21 🏫 [German]

Why do most students feel that they haven’t learned anything relevant at school? How can it be that most of what they learn is forgotten again? And that educational success in Germany still depends on the family home? How can the question of equal opportunities be answered in a system that sorts students into different types of schools at an early age? Teacher and education influencer Bob Blume says: We need to be clear about why we learn in the 21st century. This “why” must be at the heart of education. Only then can learning be fulfilling and meaningful. He formulates a clear vision for the school of the future and shows that a common understanding of education and learning is the only way out of the educational crisis. He discusses how the education system needs to change to achieve this with Simone Abels, Vice President for Teacher Education at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

Premiere: The Wizard of Oz// Nov 21 🎭 [German]

Doro should already be asleep, but a storm is brewing outside. There is thunder and lightning, and something is quietly tapping on her window. It is a hot air balloon. Attracted by a green light, she falls into the empty basket of the balloon and is carried by a tornado to the mysterious land of Oz. Doro wants to get home as quickly as possible. But it’s not that easy. Only the Wizard of Oz can bring her back, and she has to bring him six green emeralds in return. But where is she supposed to find the emeralds? On her search, she meets the Scarecrow, who wants to be smart but has only straw for brains, the Tin Woman, who longs for a heart, and the Cowardly Lion, who wishes he were brave. Together they set off to find the Wizard and have adventures in the poppy field, the Land of Porcelain, and the Forest of Fighting Trees. When they arrive at the Wizard’s, a surprise awaits them, and all their wishes come true. However, not quite as they expected.
