Antimuslim Racism: An interactive introduction to forms, narratives, and societal impact of historical and modern Anti-muslim racism, with M \/\/ 02.06. \ud83e\udeb7
<\/strong>Antimuslimischer Rassismus ist l\u00e4ngst kein Randph\u00e4nomen \u2013 er durchzieht gesellschaftliche Debatten, politische Entscheidungen und mediale Narrative. Doch was genau unterscheidet antimuslimischen Rassismus von Islamfeindlichkeit? Welche historischen Entwicklungen pr\u00e4gen das heutige Bild? Und welche Begriffe und Bilder wirken im Alltag weiter, ohne dass sie sofort als diskriminierend erkannt werden? Als Spiegel eines digitalen Zeitalters werden wir st\u00e4ndig mit der Frage konfrontiert: \u201eBin ich sch\u00f6n genug?\u201c Was bedeutet es, als sch\u00f6n oder gutaussehend wahrgenommen zu werden? In Anlehnung an Liv Str\u00f6mquists Comic \u201eSpiegelsaal\u201c und als Neuschreibung des klassischen M\u00e4rchenstoffs \u201eSchneewittchen\u201c widersetzen wir uns diesem Diktat des Aussehens und r\u00e4umen auf mit idealisierten Vorstellungen. Unproductive Will ist ein k\u00f6rperbezogenes Forschungsprojekt von Jimena P\u00e9rez Salerno. Das Projekt regt dazu an, unsere Beziehung zur hegemonial-westlichen Vorstellung von linearer Zeit und produktivem Verhalten zu hinterfragen und diese als kollektive koloniale Wunden zu betrachten, die unseren Lebensalltag pr\u00e4gen. Auf spielerische Weise f\u00fchrt uns eine Partitur durch ein \u201efortw\u00e4hrendes” Warm-up mit dem Ziel, politisches Bewusstsein zu f\u00f6rdern. But what exactly distinguishes anti-Muslim racism from Islamophobia? What historical developments have shaped today\u2019s realities? And which terms, images, and stereotypes continue to influence everyday life \u2013 often unnoticed? The AStA\u2019s project serie on Antisemitism and Anti-muslim racism debuts their educational series with a first interactive event featuring Mohammed Chahrour on Anti-muslim racism. In L\u00fcneburg, refugees have been receiving their money on a payment card since April. This card has a cash limit and severely restricts people in terms of when and where they can shop. Do you think having to live with this restriction is discriminatory? Are you against right-wing populist symbolic politics and want to do something about it with your practical solidarity? Then come to the exchange caf\u00e9, every 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month, 15:00 to 18:00 at mosaique, Katzenstra\u00dfe 1. Here you can exchange your cash for a shopping voucher (e.g. dm, Lidl, Edeka, Rewe or Aldi). One person bought the voucher with their payment card and received cash in return from the ‘No to payment cards’ initiative. The campaign is completely legal. More information here<\/a>.

MusicalLabor: Mirror, mirror, what is beautiful? \/\/ 24.05. ++ many more \ud83e\ude9e [in German]<\/strong>
We look at ourselves and others on Instagram every day. As a mirror of a digital age, we are constantly confronted with the question: \u201cAm I beautiful enough?\u201d What does it mean to be perceived as beautiful or good-looking? Based on Liv Str\u00f6mquist’s comic \u201cHall of Mirrors\u201d and as a rewriting of the classic fairy tale \u201cSnow White\u201d, we resist this dictate of appearance and do away with idealized notions. An entire genre is available for this: It’s time for musicals! With a mix of classic musicals and current pop songs, we have created a musical show to celebrate all bodies in all their diversity and variety. Singing, playing and dancing, we reclaim our bodies (and our view of them)!

Unproductive Will is a body-based research project by Jimena P\u00e9rez Salerno. The project encourages us to question our relationship to the hegemonic Western notion of linear time and productive behavior and to view these as collective colonial wounds that shape our everyday lives. In a playful way, a score will guide us through a \u201cperpetual\u201d warm-up with the aim of promoting political awareness.
