Afterwards\nwas the Senate meeting, which was attended by around 40 students. This\nwas successful in our eyes. The RPO was not voted on,\nbut discussed objectively and constructively for two hours.     <\/p>\n\n<p>The following arguments were put forward in the discussion in the Senate:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reduction of the current 60 additional CP to 30 CP:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>This change was also rejected by some of the non-student\nSenate members present. President Spoun also\nspoke out against the cut. From the outset, we have campaigned\nfor the 60 additional CPs to be retained, as this regulation could jeopardize\npossible Master&#8217;s degree eligibility, among other things.\nIn addition,\nthe cut<del>contradicts<\/del>the interdisciplinary concept of the university mission statement.  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Possible compulsory attendance in seminars with up to\n30 participants:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>This change was discussed in great detail at\n, even though the majority of the\nprofessors present did not take part in the discussion. We have the impression\nthat the professors view an optional attendance requirement positively. The\nprofessors want to achieve higher participation in\nseminars by making attendance compulsory. We are very critical of this regulation, as\nit restricts self-determined study and disadvantages some groups of the\nstudent body (e.g. people with chronic\nillnesses, working people)   <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Postponement of the second exam phase:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>The second examination phase is to be postponed to the examination phase of the following semester. We see many disadvantages in this change. For example, we would have to study one semester longer if we don&#8217;t pass the exam in the last semester. The lecturers argued that there was not enough time to correct the exams.   <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Postponement of registration and deregistration deadlines:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>The deregistration deadline is to be extended by five working days\n(previously five days, in future ten days). The registration deadline\nis to be shortened by two weeks (previously 15.05. \/ 15.11., in future 30.04. \/\n31.10.). We find these postponements questionable. The previous flexibility\nin the planning of examinations will be severely restricted. The argument put forward by the\nlecturers was to strengthen the students&#8217; &#8220;commitment&#8221; to\ngroup work or similar. With the current regulation, the\nadministrative staff have a lot of work, which is why the\nnon-student members of the Senate spoke out in favor of extending the deregistration deadline\n.       <\/p>\n\n<p>After two hours, the agenda item was closed and the\ncommon will for a discursive process of rapprochement and\nfinding solutions was expressed. The discussion will now be dealt with again in the Central\nStudy Commission (ZSK). We are hoping for a\nconstructive and positive outcome in the ZSK.    <\/p>\n\n<p>We would like to thank all the helpers and everyone who protested with us.
